Between changing weather, muddy walks, and Halloween excitement, there are a few simple things every pet parent can do to keep their fur-baby happy, healthy, and comfortable this season!

🍁 Fall Grooming: More Important Than You Think

Cooler weather doesn’t mean grooming season is over! Regular grooming helps keep your pet’s coat clean, healthy, and free of mats and tangles as we head into the colder months.

Fall also brings rain, mud, leaves, and outdoor debris, which can easily become trapped in your pet’s coat and between their paw pads. Keeping the hair around their feet trimmed and maintaining a clean, brushed coat can help prevent uncomfortable mats and irritation.

It’s also a great time to check those ears, paws, and skin after outdoor adventures. A good bath and thorough groom can help wash away dirt, allergens, and anything your furry friend may have picked up outside.

And remember, don’t shave away that winter coat! Your groomer can help you choose the right length for your pet so they stay comfortable as temperatures change.

Halloween can be lots of fun for us, but it can be a little overwhelming for our pets!

Keep chocolate, candy, and treats containing xylitol safely out of reach. Candy wrappers can also be tempting but dangerous if swallowed.

If your pet gets nervous around costumes, doorbells, or lots of visitors, create a quiet, comfortable space where they can relax away from the excitement. Not every fur-baby wants to participate in the Halloween party — and that’s perfectly okay!

• Keep candles and decorations safely out of reach.
• Make sure costumes are comfortable and don’t restrict movement, breathing, hearing, or vision.
• Never leave a costumed pet unattended.
• Keep doors securely closed when trick-or-treaters are coming and going.
