The Academy at Puppy Love Ltd. ("The Academy")
By enrolling in a workshop or skills training program at The Academy, participants acknowledge and agree to the following terms:
- Non-Vocational Disclaimer
- The Academy is not a Private Career College and does not offer vocational certification.
- Our workshops and skills training programs, whether taken individually or collectively, are not part of a vocational program and are not intended to qualify participants for professional employment or self-employment as Dog Groomers.
- The Academy does not guarantee employment or offer automatic career opportunities at Puppy Love upon completion of any program.
- A Letter of Completion is provided only upon successful completion of a specific skills training program, outlining the skills covered.
- Apprenticeship Opportunities
Puppy Love Spa may offer apprenticeship opportunities, at its sole discretion, to participants who demonstrate:
- Exceptional skill development;
A commitment to their craft;
Alignment with Puppy Love Spa's culture and values.
- Code of Conduct
The Academy maintains a zero tolerance policy for:
- Disrespect towards peers or instructors;
- Any form of discrimination, including but not limited to racism, sexism, or bias;
- Discussion or promotion of political views in the learning environment.
- Violation of this code may result in immediate dismissal without refund.
- Attendance & Refunds
- No makeup classes will be provided for missed sessions.
- No refunds are given for missed lessons or voluntary withdrawal from the program.
- Materials & Tools
- The cost of the workshops does not include tools or materials.
- A required materials kit may be purchased from any pet supply or grooming store.
- Assumption of Risk
Participants acknowledge that:
- Dog grooming and handling involve inherent risks, including injury or property damage.
- By enrolling, they voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation.
- Release of Liability
Participants release and discharge The Academy at Puppy Love Ltd., 5018261 Ontario Ltd. ("Puppy Love Spa"), its owners, employees, agents, and representatives from any and all claims or liabilities arising from participation, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.
- Indemnification
Participants agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Academy and Puppy Love Spa from any claims, legal actions, or expenses (including legal fees) resulting from their or their dog’s behavior or conduct during the workshop.
- Dog Health & Vaccinations
Participants confirm that:
- Their dog is in good health and up to date on rabies, distemper, and parvovirus vaccinations.
- Proof of vaccination may be requested before participation.
- Behavioral Disclosure
Participants affirm that:
- Their dog has not exhibited aggressive behavior, unless fully disclosed in writing prior to participation.
- Failure to disclose behavioral issues may lead to immediate dismissal without refund.
- Emergency Medical Care
In the event of an emergency, The Academy may seek veterinary care for the participant’s dog at the participant’s sole expense. While every effort will be made to contact the participant, this may not always be possible.
- Training Outcomes
The Academy makes no guarantees regarding training outcomes, which are dependent on the individual dog’s temperament, behavior, and the participant’s application of training techniques.
- Governing Law
This agreement is governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Ontario.
- Severability
If any part of this agreement is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue to be in full force and effect.
By enrolling in any workshop or skills training program at The Academy at Puppy Love Ltd. or/and 5018261 Ontario Ltd. o/a Puppy Love Spa, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to all of the above terms.
