Rules

Pre-Competition Requirements and Agreement

Payment of $100 Registration Fee
The primary base color (if any) must be completed before the competition begins.
All competition participants must be registered meembers of the GCGA (To register Click Here)
All competitors are required to acknowledge and credit GCGA on all and any social media posts pertaining to their involvement within the competition

Prizes

1st Place: $500
2nd Place: $150
3rd Place: $50

Prize Policy

Puppy Love and GCGA reserve the right to modify the prize distribution if participation does not meet the minimum number of competitors required to sustain the originally advertised prizes. In the event of lower than expected registration, adjustments to the prize amounts or the number of prizes awarded may be made to ensure fairness and alignment with the scale of the event. Any changes to the prizes will be communicated to all registered participants prior to the competition.

Recognition

All participants receive a recognition certificate from the Global Creative Grooming Association.
Feedback from our esteemed panel of judges will be provided for each participant.

Theme

On a Fall Evening.

What do you like to do on a fall evening? Curl up with your favourite book? Carve pumpkins? Bonfires? Popcorn and a movie cuddled up on a couch? You tell us with your creative masterpiece! Think outside the box on this one.

Whatever direction you choose, make sure you are able to share how it ties in with a fall evening.

Judges

Jordan Peterson & Alyssa Kasiba

You will have 2 judges/ mentors in the ring that will be available to give verbal advice and suggestions on your work. If at any time during your groom you need/want help you can wave them down and they will come over and give you up to 2 minutes of time to help you with whatever you need. Time will be shared among contestants. Judges/ Mentors can verbally help and/ or give advice but are not allowed to touch or put any tools on the dog’s coat.

Tables Provided
There will be no electric in Ring so please plan ahead

Rules

Can compete with any purebred and mixed-breed dog
Clipping, scissoring, sculpting, add ons and airbrushing must be done in the ring
Coloring/dye work that has to be rinsed to be completed prior to class
Dogs may have sanitary, paw pads and nails can be done prior to class
Judges will be looking for a difference from start to finish, that can include scissoring, clippering, sculpting and spraying up hair, airbrush or chalking or add ons, etc.

Schedule

12:30 pm - Ring opens for set up
1:00 pm - You may begin after checking in and have judges see your before
2:00 pm - Scissors and everything down
2:10 pm - Presentations
2:30 pm - Awards

1st, 2nd, and 3rd place will be given at the time of awards.
